Silly of me to play drunk and some great players play on the deadly007 account. One of the users of that account is Andrew Feldman and even though he is very young in his early twenties he has already worth a few million pound from poker. Another user of the account is Luke Schwartz, I don't know too much about his poker game but he too is quite young and has made a fair bit from poker....still no matter how much money he makes he will remain an ugly, rude, hated, obnoxious fool who doesn't even realise what race he is. I heard there crew named as 'Team Wiggers' by a few players due to these young white kids trying there best to act like members of the bloods or cripps....until confronted then they run away like the little girls that they are.

Messing around playing a few $50 games and i see a player in a $5000 game that I beat for the same stake several weeks ago. He is not so good so I am in the game in a flash. Here is todays sickener...

I almost get back in the game but lose a 1000 pot all in on the flop with top pair and straight draw. O well, cant regret taking the shot and getting my money in as 80% favourite. I can just hope next time the cards hold! £1000 down before the game started, £3250 more loss on the game yet rally to end day £1000 down. My good friend Guidoch (guidiot) whom many will be familiar with lost $2000 to me on $500 omaha games. How I love this italian fish! He bad beat me a few times, but then I got him back nicely in one game!!!:

Oops lost the hand when I got lucky, basically on a flop of A49 I held 44A+ v 99++ and it all went in the turn coming A giving me the win!

Last week was the third of the four one week leaderboard promotion on betfair and i made it 3/3 weeks of taking the top two leaderboards. A few days until this promotion is over and I have every confidence of making it four from four.

Poker can be boring perhaps I should put posts up of how I tried to chat up a group of girls in a bar last night only to realise their mother was with them, or how a cold burger almost got me in a whole lot of trouble! Ok bed time goodnight....

I shall be getting the dirty mutha fker back in the very near future and then we will get the last laugh over the donk. I cannot believe how bad the winning heads up cash players are and I shall definitely be spending more time on this in the coming weeks. In hand two in effect he is calling a reraise of almost 100 more bb with top pair, what a moronic DONKKKK. There is always a danger though that your opponent is just drunk so when you track them down in the future do not assume that they will play as bad.

Good luck at the tables, just try and be luckier than me on 2/5 holdem!!!! ;)

Egos in poker...

This is a post that could go on for a long while but I will briefly speak about this then perhaps in the future go deeper into it. We are all guilty of having big egos sometimes, yet it costs a lot of money. I rarely get involved in ego wars and am confident when it comes to heads up SNG not one player I have ever faced to date has an edge on me. There are so many weak players that I generally don't sit against anyone I know makes a living from poker. There are two main reasons for this, firstly you will get an easier game versus a person who plays for fun as they simply don't expect to win as often as someone who does it for a living. Secondly I am simply not that greedy and don't feel the need to win money from someone trying to grind a living. Obviously if the weaker players ever did dry up I would have to start attacking some of the players who play for a living.

Now I notice certain players constantly want to try and beat me, here are a few examples. One player BEER333 was doing ok, every few weeks he sits in a few of my hu sng and I generally win and he goes away for a few weeks. Then he comes back and tries again, what is he trying to do? He thinks one day he will start beating me and then sit in all my games and win my money from me? I finally snapped and now any heads up game I see him in I will generally join and will go out of my way to crush him. Feel free to check his sharkscope and see how it has set him off on mad tilt and how he has lost almost his entire bankroll.

Another players is IAMMULC whom I first played almost a year ago in a few heads up plo games. I won 3/3 or 4/4 but admittedly each game the blinds did go very high so was a bit flippy. He realises there is no value so he stopped playing me and I did not sit in his games again. Now for some reason he decides to sit in one of my games this week. I was playing 4 tables at the time and it pissed me off so i jumped in his $200 and $300 game and won both. Now his ego takes over and he starts to sit in all my games, running bad and he wins around 7 in a row. Since then I have won quite a few from him and he is not one penny up against me, over the course of time I will be a big winner against him. People do not realise games under $500 I generally don't give a shit about and will 6-8 table heads up. I am happy to make a small profit whilst I wait for the big fish who i will play at any stake. Now if somebody wants to play me whilst I am 6 tabling and play just one table themselves trying their hardest to rob my hard earned money and I realise this I will crush them. I will come for you so hard, I will get other good players to target you also when I am not around. When people boast they beat me in a few $200s its laughable, challenge me direct and I will play $500-1000 games and just play one table a time and break you hard.

I have been successful at what I do for several years now and have seen many come and go. Another player called Heurbag10 had a sick run against me, in one month he made £8000 from poker but ran better than a wind assisted Asafa Powell on speed. He kept bad beating me and saying 'but i won' if i said anything. The last time i checked his sharkscope was minus $30,000. In poker your results will not count over a day a week or even a year, it is after many years that it counts. Playing with an ego will crush you. If you have a huge ego and make a million in a year without the ego it would probably be much more. The heurbags, beer333s, iammulcs of this world who feel the need to sit with me will lose money for doing so. What is wrong with just playing bad players and getting easy money. It is so good when you can make loads of money from playing fish and personally I wont ever play people who I dont have a huge edge over unless they piss me off then they will be hit hard and hopefully learn there lesson.

The current suckout king is NLALEXXMOHN. He has played 1500 games and has a total profit of £900, yet somehow I have played him 150 times and am losing £1500 to him. Again within a few months he will be running at a loss. He can sing now when he has been having miracle luck but variance always comes through in the end.

Ok boys and girls I shall go into this further another time, just remember egos cost money. Go for the easy money and you will have a better life, or if you have a deathwish come chase me.

No more sharkscope....

Sharkscope bastards! Sure its a good site but its more trouble than its worth for me.I was killing a couple of fish regularly on $200-500 hu sng and noticed they did not join my games for a few days. Then one of them registered for a $200 hu omaha sng and i jumped in. In game chat the guy says 'shit i didnt want to play you, i just found a site called sharkscope and your ranked #2 for hu omaha sng online'. It proper tilted me, well it was the first step! Then today I ended up the day a £4000 loser, o well its only money! Tomorrow is another day, september-november is always a shitty time of year for me so next year if I can I will take three months off of poker and go on holiday for a few months. Right now for some more late night poker....

That was a hand after I lost top pair v top pair when going to the river I had 15 outs to win the hand plus 6 to split the pot. I really think next week I will have a big week as surely I cannot run any worse! So the weeks profits (sng only) stand at:

Approx £1100 for two leaderboards

Approx £3100 from sng

(Punterz08 909 £3 £53 £3,177 LWWLLLLW Betfair <1Wk)
sharkscope stats

Approx £800 rakeback

So £5000 for the week from the sng side of things. Good to be getting some consistency going even though it is a bit of a slog. Still only a few weeks of this grind left and then back to some higher stakes and a bit more heads up cash!

My wsope 2008....

I only played the £1500 nl event and was out ten minutes into level 2....nice! I know that purposely the lower buy in world series events are a lot faster than the more expensive ones yet I feel the structure was still awful. For several years now I have found that often in world series and other events they feel so pressured to ensure that everything stays on schedule that they rush things too much. I believe around 230 people played on day 1a with the aim of cutting it down to around 80 players before the day ended. So play starts at 1pm, half way through the day there is a ridiculous 2 hour lunch break then by midnight play stops for the day with 42 players left. Personally I think you could start play at midday, a one hour lunch break is more than enough midweek in Leicester Square, there are literally 100s of places to eat from. It is not like Las Vegas with a dozen outlets in the casino and a million fat americans in front of you ordering food as if their lives depended on it. I know the buy in is meant to reflect the amount of chips you have yet surely its time to change this instead of just ridiculously dragging days out with meaningless breaks and late starts.

We start with 6000 chips so come level 2 after one hours play I have around 6000 still which is just 60 bb at 50/100. The first hand of level 2 I have a pair of sixes and position on a raiser who makes it 300 so I call and the two blinds (aggressive donks) complete. The flop comes down 652 with two of a suit out, and its checked to initial raiser who puts in a weak 600 bet. I don't want to reraise as any flush draw with overs is likely to stick the lot it and with two cards to come have a fair chance of hitting so I flat call hoping one of the two blinds who checked see the weakness of the continuation bet and reraise letting me be the one to push all in but they both fold for the first time in their lives. The turn drops the 4 of the suit and the guy does something which makes me know instantly he has hit a flush and he bets around 1200 into the 2400 pot, the straight draw does not scare me as he isn't the kind of player who can have a 3 in his hand in this spot. Now I have to call and try and hit my full house so now the pot is 4800ish. River drops a meaningless Jack and he bets around 2200. I have lost 2400 of my 6000 stack and if I call and lose this hand its down to barely 1000 for me, I had a think for a few minutes as it was a hard fold on a 3 suit board, but then I told myself look you know he flushed on the turn and was calling hoping the board paired, it did not so give it up you know you were beat. So down to 3000 chips, a few hands later I have QQ in the bb and raise to 500 one of the limpers calls, flop comes down rag I lead out 1000 guy calls, turn blank i stick in like my last 1700 or so guy calls. He is impatient and asks what I have, I flip over my overpair QQ and he dwells for like 10 seconds before turning a 8 hi flush draw. Why ask what I have, I am hardly going to be behind to 8 hi. Anyways the river comes Ks, flush for donk goodbye for me. I say good luck to other players and leave, the guy from the hand just before said to me good fold before I did have the flush. His name is Joe, and he is something to do with badbeat and seems like a genuine enough chap. So even though I don't play much live poker this may change in the near future as I was simply noticing too many things about the other players at the table. My plan now is too try a few tournaments in Las Vegas soon and then hit a load of tournaments at world series 2009. That said I believe the tournaments at bellagio and venetian offer much more play still having big pay outs.

Well thats that, the only live tournament I played in 2008....it will be a different story in 2009.

leaderboards are back...

Having decided to take a month away from betfair poker in September I was enticed back when I saw that all sng had rake capped at $10 per game. Playing $1000 games on most sites you pay approx $30 rake and on $500s around $20 so the savings to be made are huge. Also leaderboards are back at betfair for October at least. I pretty much worked out that if I won the top two of the three leaderboards I would get a $2000 bonus and with the reduced sng rake that I would be on over 100% rakeback. Well just like old times I have won the top two leaderboards with ease. I gave the other players hope by not firing on all cyl;inders until the last day on the middleweight leaderboard but the eventual result was never in doubt.

Once again Betfair poker make errors, they state leaderboards will be updated every four hours yet on some days they were not updated at all. Surely it can't be that hard to do. Still all of us who use betfair poker regularly are used to their incompetence.

Another reason for me going for the leaderboards was to calm down a bit. The last week of September saw me lose £30,000 with bad plays and crazy tilts. This is something I need to review. For now if I take it easy for a month I should be able to recoup at least £15,000.

So one week gone in October and current profit stands...

Approx £1100 for two leaderboard

Approx £ 3300 from sng

(Punterz08 896 £4 £60 £3,339 WWLWWLWL Betfair <1Wk) sharkscope stats

Approx £700 rakeback

Total £5000 from a week playing fairly low stakes so definitely not a bad result. I can't see myself having a £50,000+ month for the rest of 2008 as I am not mentally strong enough to be playing the bigger games at the moment. I rarely tilt yet over the last few months on many occasions I have been a tilt monkey. The only positive I can take from my tilt sessions is that it was non poker related issues that generally set me off.

Well week one and £5000 back. Lets hope in week two I can maintain the steady progress.
