Sick luck....

Two days in a row I have gone down over £2000 in the first half an hour and then won it back during the course of the day. At the moment I am down £1000 today again, however literally one hand going my way in any one of twenty games and I am in profit. Playing someone called pierfish who has had disgusting luck. I join four of his games at once, $1000, $750, $500 and $400 and lose all four. I register for more $1000 games and he drops to $400 max. Later on he comes out and I register for four games at once again and win all four. The guy is awful, here are the hands he goes broke on in the four games I won.

He is playing truly awful and its a miracle that I am losing to him. He then registers for a $1000 and $750 game, straight away I lose a 50 50 shot in the $1000 game. Usually I don't go all in but he is calling all the time and if he has a hand like AQ/AJ I feel he will call and I am around 80% to win the game. However I lose a race against him for like the 19th of 20 times...

That one fifty fifty shot is the difference between being down £1000 or up £400 on the day. On a side note I made £1000 from 1st and 2nd spots on the top two SNG leaderboards this week. I absolutely hammered it today to come from way off the pace. It was not a great time to play today as last night I stayed in the pub until it closed at 1a.m.....then I went to a bar that closed at 2a.m......then I went to O'Neils which closed at 3a.m....then I went to the warehouse which closed around 6a.m. That is the end of my Christmas/New Year madness period now. I shall be drinking a lot less again and generally playing poker in optimum conditions. I haven't been playing well for some time now, I have a few adjustments to make and hopefully they will work. It is actually quite pleasing to be down so little when I have had absolutely no joy with fifty fifties. Anyways enough of all of this poker talk, I opened the paper today and noticed somebody I know was inside. It is absolutely sick luck and considering he loses lots playing poker its a loss to the poker community in general...

So I guess it can always be worse! The guy goes to put his lottery numbers on and the machine breaks so he cannot put it on and the numbers come in costing him over a million pounds! This week I am going to try and play some more poker. I will not leave the leaderboards until the last few hours of the week as I have been doing lately, I hope to have them wrapped up before the last day. I have been easing off the gas so that on the last day quite a lot of people are close to the top, this way lots of money is paid to betfair in fees on the last day justifying the leaderboard cash prizes. However I want a few Sundays off this month so I shall just dominate for a while. Right thats that, time for 2009 to start I think! Hopefully I can reclaim my form from the start of 2008.
